Advertising after the Liberation

When Jersey was Liberated at the end of five years of German Occupation the commercial life of the island was at a standstill.
Businesses were anxious to start trading again and as soon as goods became available, or in some cases in anticipation of their arrival, advertisements started to appear in the Evening Post and other newspapers to attract customers.
