Origin of surname

We have been unable to find any information on the derivation of this name.

Early records

The Allo family came to Jersey from the commune of Ploeuc-sur-Lie (not Pleucq as it is sometimes found spelt in online trees), in the Cotes d'Armor department of Brittany, in the second half of the 19th century. They were probably itinerant farm labourers, and more than one is known to have lived in Jersey at one time or another
