This name indicates a maker of boules in France. It is common in Brittany spelt either Boulier or Boullier, but the variant Bouillier, found in Jersey, is more common elsewhere in France. There are 70,000 Boulier and Boullier records in the Geneanet database, but only 7,000 Bouilliers
