Origins of surname

This name is found in the Cotes d'Armor department of north Brittany and appears to be a variant of Corcuff, found in the south of the region. It is derived from an old personal name meaning 'pleasant or agreeable man'.

Early records

The first Jersey record is the birth of Henri Francois Courcoux in St Lawrence in 1868. The family in Jersey originated in Plaintel in Cotes d'Armor
