Origins of surname

We have not found any specific information on De Louche, but if it is a variant of Deloche, then it would refer to an inhabitant of Loche, or Loches. Oche is old French for a fertile enclosure close to a village.

Early records

The name has been present in Jersey since at least the beginning of the 18th century. Elie de Louche married Elizabeth Perrochan in Trinity in 1702.
