Descendants of Jean Dolbel

Although we have provided a link from Jean Dolbel at generation 1 back to Descendants of Pierre Dolbel the Jean in that tree who is shown as marrying Collette Gruchy may actually have married Esther Gruchy and not be linked to this descendancy. However, a number of online trees show Collette’s husband as born in Trinity ‘about 1688’ and the only baptism of a Jean in Trinity is the descendant of Pierre in 1682.

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content
