Descendants of Jean Sohier and Rachel Filleul

This tree was added to the site in 2015. At the top it overlaps the earlier tree Descendants of Pierre Sohier which contains some extra details. A generation was added to the beginning of this tree in June 2017. We have not been able to find a record of the marriage of Jean and Rachel, but they are identified in baptism records as parents of the children at generation 2

A further review identified a problem with Jean at generation 2 and the whole tree, which is being investigated, must now be treated with considerable caution

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content
