Descendants of John Varney

John Varney at the head of this tree was a warder in Dartmoor Prison for 20 years and retired to Jersey with his wife and eight children. Four of his grandchildren were born in Jersey but most of the family appears to have left for England before the end of the 19th century, although John died in the island.
