Listed building
A farm house with 17th century origins, retaining historic character and original features from various periods of its development. Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795.
Four-bay, two-storey house with three-bay, two-storey wing on east side, single storey three-bay annex beyond. Single storey farm buildings running north south on east and west sides. The sundial mentioned by Joan Stevens no longer exists.
The house displays Jersey’s vernacular tradition in the use of local materials and details.
Old Jersey Houses
The property is included in the first volume, which covers houses built before 1700, but with no indication of which parts could be that old. There is reference to the 1744 date on the sundial [2] and some minor architectural features which are not explained
