Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

Two-storey five-bay house retains fine stonework. This building is shown on the Richmond Map of 1795. It dates from 16th/17th centuries with 18th century developments and 1801 deepening to double pile and refronting.

Mid-19th century farm outbuildings converted to residential in 1986 with substantial alterations.

Parallel to the south is a single storey range of outbuildings.

The house emulates the architecture of Georgian fashion but with a continuing local character, including Jersey arch at the rear.

Notes and references

  1. The couple had nine children, all baptised in Trinity between 1790 and 1804. We have not been able to place the family in any of our Nicolle trees, and we have also not been able to find them in any online trees
