Although he is believed to have died in St Ouen in 1945 he does not appear to have been registered at Les Fontaines Farm during the German Occupation

This mid-19th century farmhouse retains its proportions and historic external features. The internal plan to the main house retains its integrity and some features remain. Outbuildings shown on the Richmond Map of 1795.
The outbuildings have been considerably altered but their grouping to the south elevation contributes to the farm group.
