Roger de Powderham
Roger de Powderham, Bailiff of Jersey 1351
Roger de Powderham, about whom nothing else is known, appears to have been Bailiff for a few months in 1351, replacing Guille Hastein, who was then reinstated. Powderham is a castle and parish in Devon, a few miles from Exeter. It seems likely that de Powderham came from England and was appointed Bailiff on a temporary basis by Warden of the Isles Jean Mautravers, who was also from the West Country.
