Historic Environment Record entry
Listed building
The 19th century house retains its historic proportions and with its outbuildings creates a cohesive farm group.
The earlier house retains some historic stonework details and is significant as part of the early development of the farm. Evidence for both houses is shown on the Richmond Map of 1795. The house to the north is principally 19th century with likely fabric from mid-18th century. The house to the south is earlier, perhaps circa 1600s; McCormack proposes an earlier 15th century date.
Two-storey, five-bay house with single-storey wing to east and outbuilding to west. Detached to north is a two-storey barn. Across field to south is a derelict earlier house with lower outbuilding attached to west.
Surguy Cottage: two-bay, three-storey cottage, possible 18th century origins.
