La Frontiere, Trinity

G21LaFrontiereStores.jpg

Unlike its namesake in St Mary, this La Frontiere was not built on a road which, rightly or wrongly, is believed to have been the boundary between the part of the island occupied by the French in the 15th century and that which remained under the control of the de Carteret family. The name has much less romantic origins in the proximity of the property to the boundary between St Saviour and Trinity. The property includes this preserved 19th century rural shopfront
