The baptism register shows her baptised Mary Ann Susan in St Mary in 1868 as the daughter of Francis John and Mary Ann Poingdestre, and married to Ernest Marshall. But there was a Mary Ann Susan Renouard married in Grouville to James Renouf in 1893. She is shown in her marriage record as the daughter of Alfred Edward and Mary Ann Gaudin, born in Grouville in 1871. There is no record of her baptism. We are satisfied that they were two different people, both probably baptised Mary Ann Susan
