This tree, added to the site in 2015, is a perfect example of the care we take to check submitted trees. The tree, as submitted, had clearly been copied from Ancestry, and we initially had considerable reservations about including it here.
The date of birth given (1659- ) suggested that Mathurine Loyal, generation 1, had her first child at the age of 66, married for a second time at 68, had further children up to the age of 75, and died at 111 - remarkable at any time, but particularly for someone born in the 17th century. This called into question all other data in the tree.
Our own research on a much more reliable French genealogy site uncovered a birth date for Mathurine of 1695. Even French trees are not infallible, however, and birth years we have found for Julien range between 1656 and 1700.
The French trees show Julien Guerin to have been the son of Pierre and Julienne Rabaste (1615-1677), but we suspect that his birth date was at the later end of the range and there may well have been another generation between Julien and Pierre.
Just to add to the complications, although we are reasonably confident that Jean Marie Guerin (1859- ), who emigrated to Jersey, was the son of Francois Pierre and Rose Rehel, he is shown in most French trees as having died the year he was born. This is not uncommon, because some French genealogists who lose track of individual family members because they emigrated, tend to assume that they died at or shortly after birth

You can also select marriages or burials. Select the name you want and when the list of records is displayed you can easily refine the search, choosing a single parish, given name(s) and/or start and end dates.
The records are displayed 30 to a page, but by selecting the yellow Wiki Table option at the top left of the page you can open a full, scrollable list. This list will either be displayed in a new tab or a pop-up window. You may have to edit the settings of your browser to allow pop-up windows for www.jerripediabmd.net. For the small number of family names for which a search generates more than 1,500 records you will have to refine your search (perhaps using start or end dates) to reduce the number of records found.
