Record Search

If you want to search for records for any name in this family tree, or for any other family name, just click below on the first letter of the family name you are interested in. This will open a new tab in your browser giving you a list of family names beginning with that letter, for which there are baptism records in our database of half a million church and public registry records.

You can also select marriages or burials. Select the name you want and when the list of records is displayed you can easily refine the search, choosing a single parish, given name(s) and/or start and end dates.

The records are displayed 30 to a page, but by selecting the yellow Wiki Table option at the top left of the page you can open a full, scrollable list. This list will either be displayed in a new tab or a pop-up window. You may have to edit the settings of your browser to allow pop-up windows for www.jerripediabmd.net. For the small number of family names for which a search generates more than 1,500 records you will have to refine your search (perhaps using start or end dates) to reduce the number of records found.

Notes and references

  1. Cour d`Heritage, [C.H.] 3/504 (1568): Julien Noel heir of his brothers, Jean and Collas, both deceased without surviving issue
  2. C.H. 6/243 refers
  3. C.H.6/243
  4. "Collas Noel, fils Julien," is described in R.P. 2/7 (1605) and C.H. 6/242 as the `aisney` of his parents. He is also shown, in court records, to have been the owner of Le Clos Taupin (Mt.145), immediately to the south of the property called La Fosse Taupin, owned by the Noels of La Fosse Taupin. Jean Noel (1525?-1601), the head of the latter family, was chosen in 1568, as an arbitrator by the family of Michel Noel and Catherine de Quetteville (see below). Furthermore, his family`s repeated use of the Christian names Jean, Collas and Michel, suggest close kinship to Michel Noel, of this branch of the family, who was perhaps their uncle. Ownership of Le Clos Taupin and other land in the vicinity, strongly suggests that Julien and Collas Noel lived at what has since then been called "La Ville ès Nouaux", in the Vingtaine of Rozel, St Martin
  5. C.H. 6/236: "Collas Noel fils Noe, [defendant in an action by ] Collas Noe fils Julien, in right of his wife, daughter of Noe Noel"
  6. Perhaps named after Thomas Noel (1480?- )
  7. C.H. 5/111 refers, but placement uncertain
  8. Langton`s genealogy of the Blampied family: this needs verifying
  9. In right of his wife, the daughter of Michel Noel and Catherine de Quetteville, Jean Renouf engaged in a prolonged dispute over inheritance with his Noel brothers-in-law. Jean Noel and Noe Noel were, in 1568, among the arbitrators: C.H. 3/468 (1568)
