Notes and references
- ↑ Ship`s Carpenter and Shipwright. He died 10th August 1872, aged 67 years. His baptism has not been found. On marriage, he is stated to have been, as was his bride, of St Saviour. However, most censuses state that he was born in Trinity between 1805 and 1807. This would suggest that he was a son of Philippe Mallet and Betty Le Sauteur, who were living then in Trinity. A search in the Jersey Land Registry, at Jersey Archive, should resolve the matter
- ↑ Trinity-born mother-in-law, aged 80, living in St Helier at the time of the 1861 census, with her daughter Ann and son-in-law, Philip Mallet

- ↑ Dressmaker. The 1911 UK Census, St Helier, states that Emma Ann Mallet, née Le Seeleur, had given birth to seven children, of whom two had died. The latter probably included Alice, whose name is absent after 1891 from census records, with a currently unknown sibling. There were therefore in 1911 two other living siblings, whose names have yet to be discovered. The family was perhaps non-conformist or may have lived for some years in Guernsey
