Origins of surname
Doublet is French for a precious stone, but it is not clear how the surname could be derived from that.
Early records
Alfred Adolphe Doublet and his wife Victorine Constance Le Mazurier arrived in Jersey from Coutances some time between 1860, when their first son Albert was born there, and 1868, when their second son Edouard Georges was born in Jersey. However, we have found no trace of any birth or baptism records for the family whose tree appears below.

Edouard Georges Joseph Doublet, born in St Helier in 1868, the son of Alfred Adolphe and Victorine Constance, nee Le Masurier, is pictured with his wife Marie Jeanne Augustine, nee Vasselin. The couple married in Paris in 1887 and had five children
Eugene Gabriel Doublet (1908-1983) with his first wife Doris Ada, nee Cole (1907-1931).The couple were married at All Saints Church, St Helier, in 1930 and their son David Eugene was born the following year
