We have not been able to link Elsie Maud to the John Godfray who had a datestone erected on the property, or to find any connection her ancestors had with the parish of St Clement.

Rural house with early 19th century origins, with some original features surviving. Possibly built up from single storey cottage.
No 1: Semi-detached, two-storey, three-bay. Pitched slate roof, rendered chimneys at ends, two replacement dormers.
No 2: Semi-detached, side-on to road. two-storey with attic, five-bay. Pitched slate roof, chimneys at ends, 2 dormers at front, catslide dormer and rooflights at rear.
Single pile, double fronted, central hall and stairway. Mahogany railed staircase to first floor, dog leg. Some timberwork survives, including skirtings, some panelled room partitions on first floor, and some four-panel doors; 19th century iron range in kitchen in ground floor south room; fireplace opening in ground floor north room; iron fireplaces in the two first floor bedrooms; stairs to attic, exposed trusses, gable windows.
