This mid-19th century farmstead retains its historic proportions and character, the house and outbuildings creating a cohesive group which contributes to the rural, roadside setting. The house displays the polite architecture of Victorian fashion.

Principally mid-19th century on site of an older farmstead, shown on the Richmond Map of 1795. Some older chamfered stones built into existing buildings and walls including pigsties across the road.

Two-storey five-bay house with two-bay wing to east; outbuilding to west; barns to east and south east. Across road are a barn and pigsties.
