Grouville: Les Mars
|
There is a corbel stone on a gable wall of this substantial Grouville property with the engraving EM 1636. Its significance has not been discovered, but it not contemporary with the existing building, and probably belonged to an earlier house on the site.
In the 19th century the house was owned by the Pepin family, and it was the birthplace of George Pepin, who was Constable of Grouville from 1887 until his death in 1904.
