  • The next almanac listings were for publican G Wetherall in 1900, G Witherell in 1905-1920 and Mrs Witherell in 1925-1940, when the premises are also shown as The Cambridge. Mrs Witherell was still the landlady until after 1950, when the pub was taken over by H Le Quelenec, followed in 1965 by D Mahoney, 1975 by K Noon, and 19980 by J SMith
  • In 1916 George Alfred Witherall was fined 10s for serving a bottle of beer to Alfred Edward Cornick when he was already drunk

Listed building

An early-mid 19th century shop, later public house, which retains external historic character and some features. Two-storey plus attic. Two-bay with entrance to side. Traditional shop front surround with columns at side and either side of the entrance.
