Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

This late 19th century building retains its external character and is of architectural and historical interest, making a positive contribution to the distinctive character and appearance of St Aubin.

Publications refer to Neuve Route being built on reclaimed land in 1884, and as the arched entrance addresses the line of the road, it is surmised that the building dates to this period. The exact historic use is not known but due to its location and orientation it is likely it either related to the houses in the High Street (such as a carriage house or store) or to the harbour (such as a boat shed).

The building is long, of single storey and single bay - with a 'store' to the front and 'cottage' to the rear.
