Listed building
This 1840s Rectory retains its historic character and some features, within its original formal garden setting.
Built as St Mary's Rectory, it is said by the Rev Philippe Guille (Rector 1838-1856).
The 1849 Godfray map shows the house and landscaped garden in place. Two-storey, three-bay, with detached outbuildings.
The interior of the house retains much of its original layout, with a central stair hall and spaciously proportioned rooms. Features include an elegant mahogany staircase; original four-panel doors with deep-set moulded architraves; and deep skirting in ground and first floor rooms.
