This tree was submitted in 2021 to show the ancestry of John Walter Le Gresley and Lilian Elsie, nee Brown, who lived at Les Chataigniers, St Ouen in 1941. The family originated in St Ouen but had lived in St Brelade for three intervening generations.
It has not been possible to identify Francois at the top of the tree because he could be any one of nine baptised in St Ouen at the right time
Mike Bisson, who checked the tree against available records sounds a note of caution, particularly regarding the parents of John Walter's father, for whom no baptism record can be found

Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records.
