Adela Hemery was born in St Brelade in 1856

She married Henry Cooke in March 1877 at St George, Hanover Square, London. He was born in Bristol in 1842. In 1881 they were living at 3 Windsor Terrace, Clifton, Bristol. In 1901 they had three servants, and a visitor from Jamaica.

They had two children, Lionel Clement Hemery Cooke, born 1878 in Clifton Bristol and Herbert (Bertie) Edgar Cooke, born in 1881 Bristol. Lionel married Hermione Wintle in 1901, they had two daughters, Yvonne, born in 1902, and Monica, born in 1906, died in 1916. His second marriage was to Margery Hartopp. Lionel died in 1953.
