In the years between the two world wars, the Jersey Swimming Club's sea pool at Havre des Pas was not only the main venue for swimming and diving, but it was very much the centre of the island's social scene. Large crowds gathered at weekends and the activities have been recorded in a number of photograph albums, together with a large number of images of the fashions sported by the young ladies.
