Historic Environment Record entry
This property is shown on the Richmond Map of 1795. Stevens (1977) notes the roof seems to have been raised several times, approximately 1650, 1750 and 1850; describing an early chimney in the attic with thatching stones.
This property gets only a passing mention, largely taken from Old Jersey Houses Vol 2, on the website, and does not appear to be listed.
Old Jersey Houses
Apart from noting the datestones, which she failed to identify with any certainty, the author mentions only brief architectural details.
Notes and references
- ↑ There seems to be some confusion about the location of this property. It is on Rue de La Fontaine, not its easterly extension, Mont des Grupieaux, as suggested by Old Jersey Houses, nor Old Beaumont Hill, as stated in the Jersey Datestone Register.
- ↑ During 1941 Winter Le Lievre Egre (1887- ) and his daughter Sylvia Alice Egre (1919- ) were living at Beechleigh
