Blake family members who served in the Great War



Frederick George Blake was killed in action on 8 May 1917 serving in the Australian Infantry. When he joined up the year before he gave his age as 36, but there is a suspicion that he might have been born in Jersey as early as 1874


One member of the family lost his life while serving in the armed forces and a further nine saw active service in World War 1.
