18th century rural house with earlier origins. The front facade is unusual in that the door is centrally located but there are two bays to the right and only one to the left.

The house, circa 18th century with likely much earlier origins (1650), retains historic character and stonework features including a rare and traditional well head. Of scenic value, contributing to its rural context. Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795. Circa 18th century, with possible earlier origins circa 1650. The thickness of walling between the west gable and the window openings on that side, and the stonework, suggest a massive fire enclosure and/or a rebuilding of the facade on to an earlier existing gable. South of house is a fine traditional rubble built well head of unknown date.
