Descendants of Arthur Cotillard

Although this tree is accurate from Generation 1 to 7 and then from Generation 9 down, the links from Generation 7 to 9 are not certain. A review in 2021, comparing this tree with our other Cotillard tree reveals a significant conflict in the ancestry of the members of the family who settled in Jersey. This tree shows Francois Mathurin Cotillard (1871- ) at generation 8, married to Anaise Martin, as the son of Francois Mathurin Cotillard and an unknown Jeanne. The other tree shows him as Francois Marie Cotillard, the son of Pierre Marie Cotillard and Jeanne Marie Baron. We have been unable to resolve these differences, mainly because all the Cotillard baptisms and marriages in Jersey do not appear in parish church registers, and were presumably Catholic ceremonies.
