Descendants of Benest Le Brocq

The absence of records for most of the marriages shown in this tree, added to the site in 2010 and reviewed in 2019, is a cause for considerable concern. The first three generations predate marriage entries in church registers, their details having been extracted from the Cour d`Héritage. The first five generations also predate baptism records. We have found baptism records for the children of Andre and Sarra at generation 9

In addition, Richard (gen 4) and his son, Jean, do not appear among the heirs of Matthieu Le Brocq and his two Syvret wives, in any of the actions before the Cour d`Héritage regarding the equal division of their estate. Richard Le Brocq and Jeanne Dumaresq had only two daughters, who were the principal heirs, one following the death of the other. There is no record of a son named Richard

A review by Mike Bisson in 2024 resulted in the addition of a descent from Philippe at generation 8, partly based on online trees. This descent has yet to be fully substantiated
