  1. ↑ Clement Dolbel was no doubt the Trinity man of this name who married in 1740, Marie Billot ( -7/1746) of the same parish. They had issue Jean (1740), Marie (1741), Susanne (1743) and Elizabeth (1746). The baptism of Jean, whose burial has not yet been found, names his godparents as Jean Dolbel and Collette Gruchy, his mother, both of whom feature in Descendants of Pierre Dolbel. Anne Le Sauteur was Clement`s second wife, although the very brief marriage entry does not specifically say so
  2. ↑ Godparents: Elie Le Sauteur and Elizabeth Dolbel, uncle and aunt
  3. ↑ Philippe Dolbel, a widower, was living at 4 Bond Street, St Helier, in 1861, aged 68, described as a house proprietor: Census, St Helier
  4. ↑ Godparents: Amice Dolbel, grandfather, and Susanne Le Quesne, wife of George Godfray, grandmother. Philippe Dolbel, was living with his widowed father, at 4 Bond Street, St Helier in 1841. The household comprised Philippe`s brothers John (aged 13), Thomas (aged 7) with their sisters Eliza and Caroline, (both given as aged 15). Ages were usually inexact in this census: 1841 Census
