Descendants of Drouet Roissier

This tree was assembled in 2014. It was first reviewed in 2019. The surname varies from Roissier to Roissy in parish records and this tree was created with the spelling Roissy throughout. That meant that many church records were originally shown as missing, but a review in 2022 by Mike Bisson revealed that many missing records were, in fact, in the registers with the spelling Roissier. We have now standardised on this spelling, and also changed a significant number of records in our database from Rossier to Roissier. We no longer accept Rossier as a variant. It is not found in any baptism records and we believe that the spelling was the result of mistranscription of one set of Grouville marriage records
