Descendants of Francois Bisson



This tree was added to the site in 2016, to complement another of the same descendancy added three years earlier. There are minor differences between the trees, and this version has more dates and other details. Some conflicts with official records were resolved with a further update in 2018. This tree has been checked against church records, birth certificates and census returns, but it will be seen from the note attached to George at generation 6 that generations 7 downwards may not to belong in this tree

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content

  1. ↑ It is now believed that this George Bisson died a month after he was born, so could not be the George who married Marie Baudains. There are at least 15 online trees which support this descendancy, but it is possible that they were copied from each other and that this tree was the original source. Further research is being carried out to identify the correct George and this tree will then be amended
