Descendants of Gedeon de La Haye



This tree was compiled by de La Haye researcher Gordon Kennedy
and added to the site in 2018. [1]

A review of this tree in 2021 to locate the ancestors of the de La Hayes
of La Fosse, Trinity, resulted in the addition of a descendant line
from Josue (1819- ) at generation 6.

A further review in 2022 resulted in the addition of more details

Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records.   1. ↑ This tree was compiled using only Jerripedia BMD information and records on Ancestry, plus some reference to Jersey Archive records. Unless otherwise indicated, all entries have a minimum of two pieces of information, in most cases more, supporting the findings. Once completed it was cross-referenced to family trees on Jerripedia to see if there were any matches or similarities. A number of similarities were found with a number of existing trees, most notably Descendants of Alexis de la Haye - 3. Some dates within this tree have been amended, as the digital copies of records show a different date to those given on the transcripts in the Jerripedia BMD database, or on the original tree
  2. ↑ An online tree suggests that Gedeon was the son of another Gedeon (1634- ), the son of Gedeon and Clemenche Beaugie (1607- ). Gedeon and Clemenche had four more children after Gedeon - Abraham, Jean, Marguerite and Clemenche. Gedeon (1634- ) had an earlier son Gedeon and a middle son Noe. The online tree has some issues which lead us to treat these earlier generations with suspicion. Until we get further confirmation we will not rewrite the tree to include them at the top
