The spelling of the surname varies in records from Elliot to Elliott

There is some confusion between baptism and marriage records and the tree submitted to us over the names of Thomas William and Sarah at generation 2. We have settled for Thomas Farley Elliot and Sarah Buckler, as shown in their marriage record, but some other records show them as Thomas William Elliott and Sarah Farley. The use of Buckler as a middle name for three of their children suggests that it was the mother's family name

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content
