There is some confusion over the position of Charles Hepburn (1821- ) in this tree. Another tree, Descendants of James Hepburn, shows him with different parents, but the only Charles baptised in Jersey in 1821 was the son of Charles and Marie de Faye, and this is supported by the marriage record of Charles and Mary Ann. Several of their children shown in this tree do not appear in the baptism registers
