This tree has been assembled from French records to take a short submitted tree back several generations. This is one of 38 Jersey families identified as having originated in Ploeuc-sur-Lie in the Cotes d'Armor department of north Brittany .

It is confirmed that Edouard Bienvenu, generation 7, was the son of Edouard of Ploeuc, and although we have not been able to prove conclusively that his father was the Edouard shown at generation 6, there is no other Edouard in Ploeuc records at the time who could have been his father
