Descendants of Jean Ahier



This tree, which traces the ancestry of the Ahier farming family of La Chasserie, St Lawrence, was researched by Mike Bisson and added to the site in 2021

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records.   1. ↑ Online trees suggest that Jean was born in St Helier in 1757, but we have not found any records which would confirm this marriage at the age of 17. Further research indicates he was bapt 1747, St H son of Jean Ahier and Elizabeth Le Gallais. His son Francois (bapt 1780) has Francois Ahier et Susanne Seluel, sa femme, Oncle et Tante as Godparents. The surname of Susanne is obviously an error in register and should read Le Seelleur(var)
