Descendants of Jean Bichard



This family tree shows the ancestry of Elizabeth Bichard, her son Horatio, and his son Horatio, who ran a family grocery business at Charing Cross from 1836 until the 1960s

The position of Jean and Elizabeth Le Gros at generation 1 as parents of Philippe is somewhat speculative, but the rest of the tree is fully supported by Jersey church records

Jean Bichard`s baptism on 23 October 1793 names his parents and his grandparents, the latter being also his godparents: "Me Philippe Bichard and Mse Esther Renouf, his wife"
  2. ↑ Merchant: 1861 St Helier Jersey Census, living at Caesarea Place, St Saviour`s Road, aged 34, with wife Mary, aged 26, his 62 year-old mother Susan, John`s brother, Philip, a 30 year-old Master Mariner and John and Mary`s two children. Jean`s godfather was his uncle, Jean Le Sueur
