This tree overlaps Descendants of Jean de la Haye, which has now been deleted. It follows a different branch lower down from Descendants of Philippe de la Haye. Further additions were made to the tree in October 2019, confirmed by church records

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. Notes and references

  1. ↑ There are no records to confirm that Jean was born in Trinity in 1677, as shown in some online trees. Other online trees show him born in Trinity in 1665, but there is no record of this, either. There was a Jean de La Haye baptised in Trinity in 1648, which is too early to fit with this Jean. It is probably more likely that he was baptised in 1676 in St Saviour. The marriage record for Jean and Sarra in Trinity in 1702 does not indicate which parish either came from
  2. ↑ There is also no record for a Sarra Grandin baptised in Trinity in 1681. Online trees also suggest that Jean was the son of Noe (1652-1697), son of Elie, but we have not been able to substantiate these relationships
  3. ↑ Probably born in St John, baptised in 1781, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth, nee Le Marinel
  4. ↑ died Liverpool
  5. ↑ Twin. Died in hospital of tuberculosis during WW2
