This tree was first added to the site in 2015, and reviewed in 2018 Thomas William Caplin and his wife Ann Barrette in about 1905 Although we are happy with the early generations of this tree, there was some dispute as to the identity of the parents of the individuals at generation 5. However, reference to Jersey marriage records has confirmed that they were Richard Caplin and Ann Kelly, not William and Ann as previously shown. This confirms thatit was Richard and Ann who were immigrants to Jersey in about 1852, with their first four children. Three more were born in Jersey.
