Some records show the spelling as Philippe.
We have reservations about the position of Abraham and Henry at generation 2. Although both appear from their marriage records to be the son of labourer John/Jean at generation 1, there are no baptism records for them, and the baptisms of the children of John and Rachel Alexandre include others born in the same years. The list of children of John and Rachel has been changed considerably in the 2019 review to reflect the baptism records. We think that those previously shown here, and now deleted, were the children of Jean Philips and Rachel Le Geyt, and that Henry, and possibly Abraham, were their children. However, we have been unable to find this marriage.
We are investigating further and will amend the tree if we are confident that the two main descents at generation 2 are from different origins
