Descendants of Michiel Rondel



This tree was added to the site in 2014 and reviewed in 2019. Although we were then able to find records for early generations, the top end of this tree is still subject to doubt and should be cross-checked with other data if possible. There were a number of errors in the tree, as submitted, and we hoped that they have all been identified and corrected

However, a further review in 2021, in an attempt to link 20th century St Martin Rondels with this tree, identified further potential errors. Although online trees purport to show that connection, we were not sufficiently satisfied with the relationships to amend the tree and the update was abandoned. We will return to this tree when time permits

Rondel family page and links to other trees

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content

  1. ↑ With a baptism in St Brelade among all the Trinity records, we have doubts that Marie fits into the tree here
  2. ↑ If the Marie shown at the bottom of the tree baptised in Trinity in 1703 was the daughter of Thomas at generation 2, there must be some doubt that Josue, as the only St Lawrence baptism, is part of the same family
