Arthur of La Falaize, St Mary

This tree was added to the site in 2021. It was submitted some time earlier but not added because we were unable to confirm earlier generations with church records. We eventually decided to add the tree because it shows the ancestry of the Arthur family of La Falaize, St Mary, one of the properties we researched in 2021.

We are still slightly suspicious of some of the generational links, but they now all appear to match St Mary church records. Although we have managed to link to an existing Arthur tree in our collection at generation 5, we have not been able to associate the earlier generations with any of our trees which, between them, give extensive coverage to the Arthur family in St Mary and St Ouen

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content
