Descendants of Philippe Catelinet



This tree was added to the site in 2016, expanded in 2017 and reviewed in 2018. A further review in 2020 resulted in confirmation of Thomas' position as Philippe's brother at generation 1. Although there is only a baptism record for Thomas, we are reasonably satisfied that they were both sons of Jean and Marguerite Gasnier, who married in St Mary in 1776.

A further link back to Jean Le Cathelinais and Judith, nee Robert, who married in St Lawrence in 1738, as parents of Jean, is somewhat more speculative

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records.
