  1. ↑ According to an excellent picture of Eliza Sauvage when middle-aged, that can be viewed at Descendants of Philippe Vibert (1490), the caption shown above might need to be amended to indicate that the lady on the left is Eliza. The original description may have been intended to be read clockwise namely, from left to right, those standing, then from right to left, those seated. Alternatively, the husbands` names might need amending
  2. ↑ Philippe's was probably the first of three burials recorded in St Ouen, for a Philippe Sauvage, being that of 1758. He was godfather in 1730 of his grandson Philippe, but he does not feature in the next generation, which began in 1758, the year of his likely death
  3. ↑ Either this Philippe (1702- ), his son or his grandson, all called Philippe, had a death and burial recorded in St Ouen in 1783 [translated]: "25 October 1783, Philippe Sauvage, son of Philippe, of L`Etacq, who had been shipwrecked in a boat in La Bouque [Old Norse for a channel or passage between rocks, such as that leading from the open sea to L'Etacq Harbour] of L`Etacq, the night of 21st of this month, buried." One of the other two Philippes will have been "Philippe Syvret of L`Etacq" buried in St Ouen on 12 December 1796

Jean mentions that the couple lived in Roseville Street, St Helier, and that they were (presumbly both) buried in Almorah Cemetery, as this was Frederick`s final resting place
