Spellings are as given in the tree provided, despite the inconsistencies. Selous has been the more common spelling in Jersey

- ↑ Although the combined surname Le Petevin dit Le Roux is far more common, the register entry shows Le Feuvre
- ↑ Freddie Selous was nearly killed a few months before his eventual death. An aeroplane crash-landing one morning drew 4 year-old Billy Dixon to the field at the end of his parents` garden at Pirbright, Surrey. The pilot scrambled from the wreckage, cut the canvas `rondel` from the wing and presented it to the boy and his mother as a "souvenir from a --- fool"
